Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

Stargazing at Horseshoe Bend with Rangers and Friends

Description

Half The Park Is After Dark!

Dark skies and abundant stars over Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the City of Page offer premier stargazing. Take a break from the bustle and bright lights of daily life. Join local astronomy enthusiasts for an almost New Moon night of telescope viewing.
This activity is weather dependent and may be canceled in the event of high wind or an unclear sky.
Make sure you dress in layers - when the sun goes down, so does the temperature!
For the safety of the astronomers and telescopes, please do not point your headlights at the telescopes or bring pets to this event.
Meet the Rangers and Volunteers at the parking lot at Horseshoe Bend.
