Jr. Angler at Schoodic: Fish with a Ranger (Reservation Only)
Description
Always wanted to learn how to fish? Don’t have access to a pond or ocean near you? Not sure what gear you need to get started? The wait is over! Join a park ranger for a 2-hour program geared towards kids ages 7-15 and fish along the shorelines of Acadia. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The program includes the use of a fishing pole and personal floatation device.
- All children must have an adult present throughout the 2-hour program. Those 16 and older are not able to fish unless they possess a Maine freshwater fishing license.
- Participants must wear traction footwear (sneakers, hiking boots, muck boots, etc.). Flip-flops and crocs will not be allowed.
- Make sure participants come with plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, and hat. SPF lightweight clothing is recommended.
- Location of the program will be given at registration.
