Description

This is a 60-minute guided hike to the Hanging Garden site just south of Glen Canyon Dam on Highway 89. The hike is 1.5 miles total along mostly flat, even terrain. The hike includes several stops along the way highlighting the flora, fauna, history, and geology of the area. The ranger will guide the group to the Hanging Garden, then after concluding the program invite you to return to the trailhead with them, or you are welcome to further explore the area. The area closes after sunset.

Location

The trailhead for Hanging Garden is on a dirt road just south of Glen canyon Dam on Hwy 89. Park your vehicle at the trailhead to begin the hike. Please do not block the road.
