Firefly Viewing Night
Description
Registration is Full
Our eagerly awaited firefly programs are back! Join us for an evening in the heritage orchard and along the Anza Trail to witness the rare and beautiful display of Southwest Synchronous Fireflies (Photinus knulli). Attendees may be seated in the orchard and optionally walk approximately one mile on the trail during the program.
Important Notes and Etiquette:
• Expect uneven ground and dark conditions—bring a chair or blanket if you’d like to sit.
• Apply insect repellent only at home or in the parking area.
• Use red-filtered flashlights only beyond the parking lot.
• No white light, flash photography or smoking permitted during the event.
This is a special chance to witness a short-lived natural spectacle found in few places. Space is limited, so register early to ensure your spot.
